Panama Maritime Training Services was founded in 1998 in the republic of Panama to provide seafarers, and aspiring seafarers, courses on the Standard of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping complying with rigorous regulations established by administrations such as the Panama Maritime Authority and the Merchant Marine of Honduras. Today PMTS has open several offices around the world to service seafarers internationally.

PMTS Mission is to provide up to date courses in the most efficient way possible, in order to prepare highly skilled seafarers around the world. To achieve this goal PMTS has invested in new technologies and infrastructure to provide students with state of the art facilities equipped with navigation and engine simulators, as well as lifetime access to videos and text materials online. Ship owners, operators and seafarers alike expect on demand access to high quality courses wherever they may be. PMTS has partnered with several training centers around the world to provide STCW courses compliant with international and open administrations such as PMA. Continuously focus in the improvement of the Quality Management System for the provision of training, certification and assessment services for seafarers and to enhance their competence and ensure the safety of navigation and life at sea and the customer satisfaction, in compliance with STCW 78 Code as amended, National and International Regulation.

Quality Objectives

  1. Continual focus in the improvement of the Quality Management System.
  2. Consolidate the training and assessment services offers abroad.
  3. Increase the levels of customer and interested parties’ satisfaction in compliance with STCW 78 Code as amended, National and International Regulations.
  4. Improve the competence of the instructors and assessors required in compliance with STCW 78 Code as amended, National and International Regulations.
  5. Grow the personnel’s level of competence.
  6. Provide innovative tools for the training and assessment services in compliance with STCW 78 Code as amended, National and International Regulations.
